Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beauty is what the volunteers named this precious girl the day she was rescued. It was true that day and every day since, but now we know it applies to her personality too. Beauty is about 2 years old, 44 pounds, healthy and desperately seeking her new family. We say desperately because she's an affection seeker and belly rub lover. You can see it in her eyes that she loves people and just wants to be with them. Beauty gets along well with adults, kids, dogs, and goats-yes, Beauty lives with 2 goats. She's curious about the cats and seems to want to interact with them, but so far we've let her sniff while supervised. She's a lover, so everyone is welcome in her pack. Her most enjoyable moments are running through the yard and of course, laying down for a good belly scratch. When she is running really fast through the yard, she tucks her bum down and it is so cute and wonderful to see her happy. We actually haven't seen an unhappy day for Beauty since the day she was rescued. She has put the past behind and is focusing on the future and living life with her new people. Beauty walks nicely on her leash, but since she likes to run through the yard so much, we think she might be a great running partner with a little practice. She knows the command sit and easy when taking a treat gently already, and with a little training, she will easily be able to master other commands. She loves to chase the ball, but the chase is all that is in it for this girl, so we won't call her a master fetcher. She LOVES to ride in the car on any adventure you are on, even if it's just a ride to the park or the store. The ideal family for Beauty is active, fun and affectionate, which also describes her to a T. She's a healthy girl that is just waiting for the perfect family to come scoop her up. Beauty currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Portland because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption fee and airline/transportation fee to the Portland airport is $375. If you would like to adopt Beauty, please fill out an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the More Information tab. Please contact us at corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you!
