Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hi to sweet, amazing Gracie! Gracie is a Bluetick Coonhound who is approximately two to three years old and has never really gotten the chance to have her own people to love and care for her. She came from a rural area around Fordland, Missouri where the people who owned her parents couldn’t care less about what happened to her. She wandered up to a neighbors’ house where she started hanging out with their dog. The neighbors started calling her Gracie and began feeding her as she did not look like she was being cared for. One day when her “people” were walking past with Gracie’s parents, the neighbors asked if they were going to take Gracie home. They completely ignored them and kept walking. The neighbors started caring for Gracie as she was their own and tried to take her inside but she got stressed in the house, so they let her be but kept feeding her and giving her preventative. Then Gracie got pregnant. The wonderful people who were caring for Gracie had no idea how to care for her or what to do about the impending litter of puppies so they reached out to rescue. Gracie was finally taken in by our sister rescue, a farm rescue outside of Republic, Missouri on April 26th where she whelped a total of 14 puppies two days later. There are still three of Gracie’s puppies remaining that are also in need of loving forever homes. Gracie is very sweet and will smile at you, which is something not many dogs do! She loves attention and is very energetic. She is good with other dogs and is submissive by nature. She has not been house-trained but she is crate-trained and good on lease. She seems to be very smart and picked up training to both the lease and crate very quickly so house-training shouldn’t be an issue with some work and patience. Gracie weighs about 40 lbs and has been fully vetted so no more puppies for this sweet baby! Her adoption fee is $150. Is your home the forever loving home this sweet girl deserves? Contact us to set up a time to meet amazing Gracie!
