Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BENNY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!
If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at gingersnap@frontier.com, If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application at www.brusselsgriffonrescue.org
Benny is well-mannered 9-10 yr old neutered male Brussels Griffon. Benny weighs 16 lbs. Benny’s life hasn't been easy, but you wouldn't know it from his friendly personality.
He was rescued from a humane society in southern Indiana. Somewhere along the line, he picked up mild neurological issue, but you would hardly notice. Benny loves to go for walks, and runs in the yard with the other four Griffs at his foster home. He is alert as he patrols the neighborhood, and never misses the chance to bark at a squirrel or another dog that he sees. Back at the house, he is a loving couch potato.
Benny is neutered, current on vaccinations, heart worm tested, and is on heart worm prevention.
As mentioned, Benny will required someone who is willing to give him a little extra TLC. Benny was checked out by an ophthalmologist, who diagnosed a mild dry eye condition. That’s managed with eye ointment twice a day. Benny was also checked out by an orthopedic veterinarian, who diagnosed the neurological issue. The doctor said that Benny could function comfortably on medication.
Benny is worth the extra attention that he requires. He has a sweet disposition. Plus, he has perfect manners inside, without a single accident in his foster home. Benny needs someone to understand his few limitations and love him for his good-natured self. Your investment in him will reap HUGE rewards.
Benny is being fostered in Columbus, OH.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
