Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oso was part of a 4 puppy litter pulled with Mom (Maggie) from Apple Valley shelter in late September of 2014. Although more individual and updated pictures are soon to follow, Oso is the male puppy that looks like he will have a longer coat than his siblings but is black and tan with typical Shepherd markings.. Originally pulled by ARA where poor mom could recover a little and the puppies could all be checked over, they were then transferred to S. Oregon Songdog Rescue where they now all await adoption. As of October, they are between 8-9 weeks old, so the same age you would get a puppy from most breeders!
These puppies are the quintessential 'All American' mutts. While the shelter cards said Shepherd, mom obviously has plenty of other breeds in her and who knows what dad was! We can't be sure on size, but would suggest adopters prepare for an adult dog that is anywhere between 40-60 lbs, though as they age, we may be able to get a better idea of their eventual size. Mom is very sweet and friendly, and has passed off that personality to her puppies, who are all inquisitive, friendly with people, playful and typical puppies!
All puppies are adopted with signed Spay & Neuter contracts that need to be honored as soon as the puppy is able to undergo surgery. Home Checks are required and individuals with experience raising puppies or a willingness to go through Obedience lessons with your new family member will be shown preference. All of these pups are CUTE, but they will need great Forever Families for when that cute turns into life long companion adorable.
