OWNER TURN IN: Thatcher is a very special dog looking for a very special home. While he is only about 10# and four months old, he is quick to use his mouth and is nothing short of a chatty Sheltie! He is social, smart and outgoing, but will need continued work on his handling and resource guarding issues. Thatcher has spend the past two weeks with a great trainer learning to exchange toys without growling and that 'nothing in life is free'. Basically this means that he is being hand fed and is rewarded regularly for doing the right things. While Thatcher has made some great improvements he will probably need continued training throughout his life. Thatcher's caregiver and trainer will even donate a lesson or two to help his new family continue with his training. Please call the shelter if you have an adult only home and would like more information on his special little dog! Update: Thatcher is back at HSWM and ready to find his new family!
