Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Sweet Al
Age: Senior
Disability: Trauma to his right side, right eye missing, and right leg trauma. His leg will be reevaluated after his bloodwork, showing he is HW negative.
Breed/Weight: Beagle mix / 20 pounds
History: Sweet Al was pick up as a stray and landed in small rural West Virginal Shelter. A local advocacy pulled him and got him to safety.
Sweet Al arrived and came into the rescue with his tail wagging away! He has made himself at home, instantly and quite quickly got the routine with ease. A big thank you to a very caring foster home who cared for Sweet Al, as we sorted out many medical issues here, they will able to give us some great insight on a very neglected senior stray.
"Sweet Al, in my eyes the perfect dog. In spite of everything he has endured in his life, he always greets everyone with a big smile and a tail wag. He has received hw treatment, had a few teeth pulled and endured everything like a champ. It is unknown how he sustained his injuries to the right side of his body, but handles all his disabilities, better than you or I. Al, gets along well with dogs and cats, does not seem to interested in toys, just a big soft bed, with lots of head and belly rubs. He loves to snuggle and his favorite past time was curling up beside us for a good movie. He is patient and does well with children. "
Honestly, he is so darn cute and his needs are few and far between, love, attention, a nice walk around a yard, and a comfy bed. Anyone would be lucky to add this boy to their family.
A big thank you to One by One Animal Advocates, base in Huntington, WV, a small group of rescuers that helped with Sweet Al's vetting and arranged transport to PWD.
