Name: Isabella
Breed: Min-Pin / Chihuahua
Gender: Spayed Female
Age: Approx. 12 mos in November ’14
Weight: Approx. 3.5 lbs
Energy Level: PUPPY (very busy and energetic and LOVES to play!)
Apartment Appropriate: Yes, if given plenty of exercise
Good w/ Dogs: Enjoys playing with other small dogs, but definitely wants to be boss and own all the toys. Would do best with a submissive male playmate.
Good w/Cats: Unknown, but would probably try to play
Good w/ Kids: Would probably be fine with calm, respectful kids age 10 and over
Comments: If you’re looking for a snuggly lapdog, we have several pups that would fit the bill, but Isabella isn’t one of them. Isabella is a little ball of fire! She is busy, busy, busy all the time, but is starting to learn that being held isn’t always a drag. She likes to help her foster family with everything they do- laundry, cleaning, chores- even when they tell her they don’t actually NEED her help. ;-) Isabella is absolutely precious and still has a good bit of filling out to do. Because of her tiny stature, no young children, please. She could easily leap from their arms (she’s very athletic) and break her slender legs, and has a tendency to try to do so when people she does not feel comfortable with try to force ‘face time’ or kiss her. She is picky about who she likes and has shown some fear of men and people with certain energies at meet ‘n greets, but with some time and patience, should adjust to a man in the house. Isabella is very interested in being where the action is, and will climb over pens and gates to get to it. She’ll need a very secure fence if her new home has a yard. If you have another young and/or active little dog, Isabella absolutely loves to play! She definitely likes to be the only diva and hog the toys, though, so she does best with the more submissive male fosters in her foster home. Pip would make a wonderful permanent brother for her, in case you are looking for two- she already has him trained to be her playmate and her pillow. ;-) If you think this sweet, sassy bundle of fun sounds like the perfect pup for you, please visit our website and fill out an application for Isabella at http://www.littledogsbigheartsrescue.com/adoption-application/ today!
