Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HI!! I’m Elsa, and I’m a German Shepherd mix girl born in November of 2013, and I’ve got the puppy energy to prove it! I was picked up as a stray by Richmond Animal Care and Control, and that’s where HHS found me. I could use puppy training, but I do already know some basic commands, and can walk well on a leash if I have to. Once I get my energy out, I’m very sweet and love to give kisses. I would do best with an energetic family or a home with lots of room to run around. I like other dogs, but haven’t had any experience with cats. The fee to adopt me is $150, I come spayed, up to date on all of my vaccinations (DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies), on heartworm preventative, microchipped, and with a month of free pet health insurance. I would love to have a home in the Hanover county, or the counties bordering Hanover. Come meet me on Saturday mornings, between 9 AM and 12 Noon or call the kennel to see me on weekdays. You can find me at the HHS kennels on Route 1 in Ashland. That's 12190 Washington Hwy, just north of Minor’s Fences.
