9-8-14 - PTS because of stage 4 HW and tumors

My name is Tilda, and I just landed in gorgeous Colorado from Missouri. I'm a 4 year old gal, with natural ears and a docked tail, weighing about 11 lbs. Though I am young, I have been through a lot of not-so-nice times in my life. I was used as a breeder dog, and it has really taken its toll on my little body.

The good folks at Little PAWS saw my cute face and couldn't resist helping me. I mean, I am a real cutie! Like many puppy mill dogs, I'm a little under-socialized. This means that I'm scared and timid when I first meet people, but I would rather run away than use my teeth, which my foster mom says is a good thing! It takes me a while to come out of my shell in a new environment, so I'll need a lot of patience and gentle guidance about the rules of the house.

I'm working on my housetraining, and do well in a crate if you need to leave me alone. I do need another doggie companion, though - I'm not very independent, so need a good role model to help me reach my potential! I've never been around kitties before, so I'm not sure about them, and children older than 5 should be fine as well, so long as they are gentle with me. I haven't really been walked on a leash much before, so we're working on that in my foster home as well. I can't wait to meet my new forever family.
