Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rosy is a petite 5 year-old beagle/hound mix, weighing in at just 18 lbs. She is a mellow, gentle dog who is enthusiastic about treats and opportunities to go for walks or rides in the car. Rosy was picked up as a stray and never claimed. It appeared the poor girl had just given birth, but unfortunately her puppies could not be found. She was terrified in the shelter, so we took her in and she is blossoming into a happy dog in her foster home.
Rosy is looking for a family who will love and be gentle with her, and give her time to adjust to new surroundings. She is shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she will be your constant tail-wagging companion. Rosy gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home. When she’s not moving her toys from one room to another, or going for a walk or run outside, she’s curled up at her mom’s feet. She has taken some time to warm up to the teenage boy and Dad in the house, but every day she gets braver.
Rosy has a crate in her foster home as she is still working on house training, but doing very well at it. She also likes her crate as her safe place to hang out if she gets a little nervous. Because Rosy does not like loud noises or yelling or commotion, she will do best in a quiet home with people willing to give her time to bond. One sure way to her heart is through regular tummy rubs! She is a loving dog who is grateful for a second chance, just waiting to be someone’s best friend.
Rosy is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in Rosy please send us an application which can be found on our website at www.baystatedogs.com.
