My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ellie is a happy-go-lucky pooch who loves to run, or go for a long leash walk with you. She's very affectionate and likes to be petted. Ellie is blind, but it doesn't slow her down - her at Safe Shelter, we call her "houdini" because she has sometimes tired of waiting for her forever home and has set out to find it herself. Her favorite environment is definitely NOT in a pen, away from people! Because of her age (estimated at 9-12), spay surgery is still being debated, as is surgery to remove a tumor on her side. We've kept her here in a room with cats, and she does fine with them, and she has yet to exhibit the slightest aggression towards any dog. Ellie's a sweet girl who would make a wonderful pet.
