My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Star! Star is a full-blooded Husky that has been with her mom since she was a baby. Star's mom is elderly and she lost her husband a couple years ago. She is having a hard time keeping up with Star's care on her own. I am personally afraid Star is accidentally going to knock Bev down, seriously hurting her going up and down the few steps to the back porch where Star more of less lives. Star's mom has tried to turn her into a house dog several times but she is just not interested in being in the house for more than a few minutes at a time. She currently has a fully-enclosed porch with a ceiling fan and a doggie door. Even though Star is technically a senior at seven years old, she is a typical Husky and is still very energetic. However, Star is overweight as Bev cannot walk her so she has not been getting the exercise she needs; she will need a special diet and plenty of exercise to help her lose weight. Star has a small Husky-mix sister she gets along with well but does like to bully her for her treats! Star is pretty good on leash but could use some refresher time. She is currently spayed and we will provide shots and a heartworm test upon adoption so she will be completely up-to-date on everything. Star's adoption fee will be $100.
