Amos arrived at Horse Creek on July 1, 2013. We learned from shelter workers that he was found in a very remote, wooded area. There were no homes in the area and he was all alone. Amos was extremely shy when we first brought him to Horse Creek. He was terrified of everyone. The first thing we did was find a super friendly dog to live with him and help reassure him. This has helped him tremendously. We also had people who would sit and hold him for a little while every day. This helped him learn he could trust people. Amos has made great improvements!! He now plays with other dogs and enjoys receiving attention from people. Amos deserves a home where he will receive love and care always! Amos' estimated birthday: April 8, 2013.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.
