My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mackey is a yearling, female wire hair terrier mix, heartworm negative and approximately 40 pounds. Her crazy, curly low shed coat is a mix of buff, yellow, ginger and tan- the colors of tree leaves at the first hint of Autumn, with white on her chest, tummy and muzzle. Her eyes, round and wide in amazement are the bright golden color of sunshine glancing off a raindrop. Mackey’s brown nose is bumped by three freckles in a row, stop light style, and sits atop the cutest little under bite.
Mackey is in a foster home with a cat, whom she respects, and a beagle brother, whom she imitates and adores; she has mastered the doggy door and is house trained. Mackey is a companionable girl who is well mannered and gentle with children and eager to demonstrate that she knows how to: Sit. Stay. Love.
