Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jack is a 4 year old tripod German Shepherd with a heart of gold. Jack came into the DFW GSR on August 13, 2014. He was surrendered to a local shelter with his “sister”, Lexi. Lexi is also available for adoption through DFW GSR! Once we saw Jack we realized he needed immediate vet attention. He had a tumor on his leg the size of a tennis ball and was only given 3-6 months to live if we did not amputate Jack’s right back leg. Jack had surgery on August 16 to remove his leg and the vet said Jack will have a normal life span for a GSD now that the cancer is gone. When he was picked up from the vet, he had the biggest smile on his face. Jack was finally pain free!
Jack and Lexi’s previous owners never allowed them inside. He had only lived outside his whole life. Jack now refuses to be an outside dog!! Jack lives in a foster home with a very dominate female German Shepherd, a cat, and 3 kids; ages 4, 3 and 2! He is fantastic with everyone. Jack follows his foster mom EVERYWHERE! If she goes from one side of the room to another Jack is right there behind her. He is such a sweetheart. Jack is a very mellow dog. He really is not into playing with toys or other dogs. Jack just wants to be with his people and sleep by their feet. Jack does like to go on walks, and loves to ride in the car. Jack is housebroken and crate trained. Jack is looking for a very special family to love, spoil, and care for him for the rest of his life.
