Got A Lap? I'm your man! Hi I'm Dougie an 8 year old Boston Terrier boy and I'd love to see how comfy your lap is! I'm only 15 lbs, so I'll fit right on there nicely! I love to snuggle up!
When I'm not busy snuggling up with my human friends, I love to explore. If you have a fenced yard that would be cool! I love playing with toys and especially like to play in the yard with my people! They say I'm a clown! I like that. It's silly!
I also love walks – do you?! – I like to go for long strolls. I'm working on figuring out the whole potty outside thing, but I will jump to get your attention when I need to go out. When I am home alone I wear a belly band so I don't make a mistake. I'm on the Frequent Potty Plan and like to go outside often! If you are home most of the day – what fun we would have! Or maybe I could go to work with you!!!
I'm also working hard on my manners. I take treats real nice when they come my way, and I don't get cranky around food at all.
Around young children, I get excited and try to get in their face to greet them, so I should probably only hang out with older children. I'm not very polite with cats, so a home with no cats would be best for me.
As for other dog friends - I enjoy their company, but I have trouble reading their signals. I don't know that a growl means "don't try to steal my toy!". If you have a more laid-back dog, that could work out fine, but I'd probably be best suited as the only dog in the household.
I get eye drops put in every day and am going to need continued monitoring to make sure my eyes stay as healthy as they can!
