While in foster, Glover has become very bonded with Betsy, who healed from a chemical wound right alongside Glover. Both are fully recovered and would LOVE to be adopted together. Glover loves the company of other cats, but still eats all of his meals with Betsy. He's so smitten with her! And they do everything together, like a married couple. It's so sweet!

When we learned about a cat in the County shelter for 2 days with a degloved tail (fur and skin ripped off), and possible facial fractures, we couldn't let him suffer any longer without treatment. We named him Glover, and rushed him to the hospital. We learned he had been hit by a car.
Glover's injuries were literally from nose to tail, and very painful, but he had suffered no fractures or internal injuries. He underwent surgery to amputate his tail and debride the asphalt burns that covered his body. Lacerations were cleaned and his fur was cut in order to find and remove all the debris that was embedded in his skin.
Fully recovered 6 weeks later, Glover is enjoying everything a kitten should, from the safety of his indoor foster home. He plays with toys, loves to climb the cat tree and watch the birds outside, pounces under the covers and chases imaginary prey. He is still a kitten, not quite a year old.
Glover's coat is growing back, and is soft as velvet! He'll be a gorgeous long-haired boy again soon, with a bunny tail.
Glover is negative for FeLV and FIV. He has already been neutered and vaccinated.

We only adopt within the Phoenix metropolitan area. If you are out of the area, we recommend searching Petfinder for a pet waiting in a shelter near you.
All of our animals are homeless when they come to us. We don't know their history or pedigree. Breed and descriptions are our best guess, based on appearance and sometimes personality traits. We cannot guarantee their information.
If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider making a donation to help us continue to care for cats such as this one. We do not recover any costs associated with spaying and neutering, and often treating illness or injury, and the lifelong feeding of many other cats who are not as lucky as this one. Visit http://ALF.Petfinder.com to make a donation to ALF.
Thank you for your interest in helping homeless animals.
