Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All HSWA dogs are in foster homes and need an appointment to be seen. Please call 205-554-0011 or email humaneswa@yahoo.com to request an appointment to see the dog/puppy and to check availability. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or asking questions first.
this young fluffball is more than ready for a family!!
This ball of fluff is Ala, a 5- to 6-month-old (as of 8/14) male American Eskimo. He is solid white and has a long, thick coat that will need grooming and lots of brushing. He weighs 11 pounds right now, but will get a little bit bigger, probably to around 20 to 25 when full-grown. Ala was pulled from our city animal shelter, where he had been picked up by Animal Control. He was kn there for almost a month, and no one came to claim the poor guy.
Ala is a very sweet, loving dog who just wants to be with you. He is very clingy and may need some work on his social skills, but very trainable. He would need a proper introduction and some work if another dog is in the household - but, again, just because he hasn’t been socialized before. Ala should be fine with children 12 and up. Remember, he is a puppy and will need some training and structure to help him develop into a well-mannered adult dog. But he is so cute that it will be worth all the effort! He should be fine in an apartment and will require to be on a leash or in a fenced-in yard when outside. We have started on his crate training. Ala is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Ala is such a loving dog who truly deserves a happy home for the rest of his life!
Our flat adoption fee is $75. All animals have received tests and vaccinations, and have been spayed/neutered if 5 months or older. Adopters receive copies of vet records. Read more info on our adoption process at www.humanesocietyofwa.org/howtoadopt.html. Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt a dog, submit an adoption application or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com for more info. If you're concerned about availability before getting to meet the pet, we recommend submitting an application first. A preliminary application does not bind you to adoption for a specific animal or to adopt at all. We do not charge a fee to apply.
To apply for adoption, submit an online application or contact us for more info or for an appointment to meet this dog.
