My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fiona Joy! She is an adorable, 2 year old papillon mix we saved from a high kill shelter in California and transported to Seattle on a Wings of Rescue flight. Papillons (spaniel breed) are known as butterfly dogs because of their ears. There is a similar variation that has ears that lay down called Phalene. That is what we believe Fiona's breed is. Fiona is not that photogenic, so the pictures you are seeing are not as cute as she is in person. Fiona is absolutely the cutest little girl ever with the most beautiful fur and markings! You will fall madly in love with her at first sight! She is shy at first, but don't let that fool you, she has a spunky and fun personality. She also LOVES to cuddle and go for walks. She will make a great, little companion. She is only 7 lbs. If you want a great companion and a sweet girl, Fiona Joy is for you! She would love a warm lap to snuggle in. She will do well in a home that does not have small children. She of course has all her vaccinations, heart worm negative, health certification, spay and microchipping. We require a home check, so we do not do out of state adoptions. No children under 9 please since she is a little one. We are open to a short term foster to adopt situation since we really need foster homes right now to save more dogs. Fostering will put you in the front of the adoption line! Adoption Fee covers: Shelter fee, medications, transportation, Spay, vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, heart worm test (negative), health certificate, microchip, color/leash, bed and crate. $350

*If you have previously applied for one of our dogs and are interested in Fiona please contact us. We try to match a dog's needs with an adopter's situation, so not getting a particular dog does not mean you will be turned down for another. It just means that particular dog had an adopter that better met its particular needs.*
