My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Mitch. I’m a sweet guy who really likes being around other dogs, and people I can trust. I was abandoned and left on my own for quite sometime, so I’m learning to trust and be around people again. I may be a little shy at first, but once I understand you’re here to be my friend, then I’ll be your loyal companion. I’ve met many other dogs and have done great with all of them. I am curious about the cats I live with, but I won’t hurt them. I love food! I’m learning how to play with toys and chew on bones. Turns out sofas and beds are nice to sleep on, and when I cuddle up to people they pet me and gush about how handsome I am.

I like my crate, it gives me security. I haven’t had any accidents in the house, but my foster family keeps a close eye on me and doesn’t leave me unattended. I do well in fenced-in yards; I don’t dig or climb. I also ride well in cars, although sometimes I’m a little worried about jumping in and out of them, but with patience I can do it!

I’d do best in a home where my new family will be patient with me, train me using positive reinforcement, and will possibly have other doggie friends for me to play with. I’m shy around young children since I can’t predict their movements, but I think I would adjust if my house wasn’t super busy or loud.
