Here's what the humans have to say about me:
AVAILABLE 07-01-14 B is a sweet black lab mix female who is calm and good on leash. She prefers to lounge around with her kennel mate here at the shelter and go on walks. She came to us as a stray and shortly after we were contacted by her owner. Her owner never came to retrieve this awesome girl. We cant tell why being that she has such a calm, sweet nature. She is heartworm negative and up to date on all of her shots. B would love for you to come meet her and even possible give her that forever home she has always dreamed of. We are here 7 days a week to give you the chance to come and take this one of a kind gal home with you.

UPDATE 09-14-14 On 09-07-14 sweet B was adopted by a great family who fell in love with her as soon as they met her. Unfortunately, B really didn't like their cat; so after a week of trying to "make it work", they realized it wasn't fair to their cat or B, to try to keep them apart for a life time, so they brought B back to the Shelter. They were able to tell us though that B is housetrained, good with both small and large dogs and kids of all ages. So if you have a "catless" home, Miss B would make a great canine addition to your family. Please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and consider making Miss B part of your family.
