Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Frankie is an adorable 8-9 month old female beagle mix who was originally turned into a local shelter as a stray. She was covered in ticks, fleas, and had internal parasites. She also had bite marks all over her body. Frankie is now fully recovered and needs a home where she can receive the exercise she requires to work off her boundless beagle energy!
Frankie is highly social and loves people and other dogs. She is lives with cats but likes to chase and tease them. Frankie is a typical hound mix...she follows her nose and has a tendency to escape, even with a 6 foot wood fence, when she does this. She also has a tendency to become destructive when bored...and a daily walk and playtime with other dogs is NOT enough to keep this girl happy. She is also extremely vocal. Frankie needs a home that understands active hounds and has owned them in the past.
Frankie weights about 20 pounds and is crate trained. She is working on housebreaking but still has the occasional accident if she is left unsupervised and doesn't have a way to get outside. Frankie is also HIGHLY food motivated and can be a bit of a counter surfer. She needs to be fed away from other dogs but has shown no sign of food aggression with people and happily shares toys and other high value objects with other dogs. She is very sweet and loves to be petted. She is also great with kids. Frankie will be up to date on shots and spayed before she goes to her new family.
If Frankie sounds like the right dog for the hound lover in you, give us a howl through our website and we will put you in touch with her current caregivers. They are asking an adoption fee of 95.00 for Frankie, all of which will be donated to Golden Bone!
For more information about how to adopt from Golden Bone please fill out our adoption application by clicking the link below. This does not obligate you to adopt. It is just the first step in our adoption process. http://www.dogadoptionrescue.com/form-adoption-application.htm
