My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charles is a loveable, distinguished gentleman of about 7 years. He was rescued from the Puerto Vallarta pound after spending over a year there. He was so happy to be out and into a loving foster home.

From his foster mom: he is such a mellow relaxed guy! He is happy just hanging out in my vicinity, he even hopped up on the bed to lay down with me last night (who knows if he's ever been on one!). Doesn't react to dogs barking, or the loud construction or people yelling right outside my window. Hasn't had an accident in my place either. And he loves to play in water! He'd dig in his big water bowl, and even wanted to play in the small water bowl. Maybe he needs to go to the beach..

Charles is super sweet, great with kids and small dogs. He seems to be ok with cats too! He will need to be the only large dog in his new home as he is certain that he has earned top-dog position after all he has been through.

Charles may be an older dog but he is still very strong and loves to go for long walks. Your arms will get a work out at first until he learns that walks are regular and part of being a loved member of a family.
