My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Fun" would describe Baron to a T! This 10 year-old, 25-pound Boston Terrier sure doesn't act like an old fogey. In fact, he sometimes seems a frat boy stuck in a grown-up dog's body!

Baron came to S.N.O.R.T. after his previous owner passed away and the family needed help in finding Baron a new forever home. That shouldn't be hard given this guy's winning personality.

There isn't much that Baron hasn't liked thus far in his foster home. He gets along with kids and dogs (cats may be a no-go, as he's one curious dog) and is housebroken and crate trained. That being said, he's a dog that likes his schedule and if that schedule is broken, be prepared to clean up a puddle! Now, don't be mistaken – Baron knows to do his business outside, sometimes he just gets impatient waiting!

A fenced-in yard is not required but he'd certainly love space to roam and explore; in fact, "nosy" might be his middle name! Baron enjoys spending his days roaming the house looking for ways to amuse himself. A piece of wrapper poking out from the cabinet? There's a good chance Baron will try to find out what it is. If his owner happens to get up and go to a different room? Baron will probably be right behind them!

Another of Baron's favorite pastime of his is to "talk" to anything driving or walking by his house. No worries, though, he's responding well to behavioral corrections and he will do just about anything for food, so good manners can be further established if his reward is of the food variety.

While his new home does not have to have someone home all day (though Baron might beg to differ!), he definitely needs to have a midday check-in because, as mentioned previously, he's a man on a schedule and his bladder is no different! He's not up for terribly long walks but enjoys leisurely strolls so his new family should be sure to give Baron his daily dose of exercise.

Baron most definitely considers himself the top dog in the house, so while he'd love going to a home with other dogs, his new home should not include another strong-willed male dog.

For all his energy and curiosity, Baron is still a dog who loves a good cuddle, preferably as close to his humans as possible.

Baron really has it all – a quirky personality, great energy, good manners and the occasional need for a snuggle. To make Baron a part of your life, submit a SNORT adoption application today!
