My story

Meet Cali! This 10-month old girl is learning the ropes of becoming a wonderful breed ambassador and cannot wait for her forever family to come along. Cali plays shy at first but has come a long way with her foster mom’s patient guidance. She is devoted and affectionate towards her family. She does well with both cats and dogs, however Cali guards valuables from other canines so she would prefer to have you all to herself.

Cali would benefit from the bonding experience of obedience classes; she has some of the basic commands down but definitely would thrive with a forever family that is willing to put in a little more for her. She will do anything for a toy! Her sensitive nature makes positive reinforcement training a must in her new home; she cowers from a raised voice.

The ideal situation for Cali would be an adult-only home where she gets plenty of human interaction; she is noticeably happier when she doesn’t have to be cooped up for long periods of time, although she has had no issues going in her crate. Cali is mellow for a puppy but still needs daily exercise and ongoing socialization. She loves playing fetch and swimming at the lake all day- it’s almost impossible to get her out of the water!
