Hi! My name is Dallas. I'm a 5 yr old spayed female Pit Bull Terrier.
I have such a sweet disposition if I do say so myself. I love to cuddle with my human foster parents. I was born the runt of a litter. I am tiny but I am mighty in the amount of love I have to give. So I am the perfect size! I am housetrained and get along well with other dogs.
Dallas has grade 3/4 bilateral luxating patellas, or knees that pop out of their socket when she moves. The orthopedic surgeon has recommended surgery to modify the joint. The specialist recommends doing one knee at a time with 3-4 weeks in-between procedures, but believes that once the knees are repaired Dallas can live a normal life. It will be a long road, but sweet Dallas is worth the time and effort!
Someone found me and reported my CDT microchip a few months ago, but I escaped from the finder's yard. I recently wandered in to a friendly Walgreens store where the staff reported me and promised to hang on to me until I could be safely picked up. They are wonderful people for looking after me even though they just met me.
Now I am looking for a permanent home that will love me and keep me safe. I am dog friendly and love to cuddle with both 2 and four legged friends. I have bad knees and possibly a torn ACL that will require surgery before I am adopted, but I'm still entertaining applicants if you're interested! I have had a rough start to life, so please only apply if you can promise to love me forever, just like I will love you.
