Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bio Update 08-31-2014 update: Baby is a 4 year old, 2.85 pound full blood yorkie that is being fostered in Grapevine, Texas. Here is what she has to say: Hi my name is Baby, and the reason is I love to be babied. I like lots of love and attention. I like to sit in your lap and give kisses. The only thing is I like to be the center of attention. I like other dogs okay as long as they let me be the boss. Foster Mom says I am an alpha dog. I am not sure what that means, but I guess it can be good or bad. I have learned to use the potty pad and go potty outside when someone takes me, and yesterday I even cried at the door so Foster Dad would take me out! Woo hoo! I am making progress! I love to be outside, go for walks, and I LOVE squeaky toys. Two weeks ago I saw the dogtor for my right knee. I had to have a surgery to fix it, because I couldn’t walk on it. But guess what? Yesterday I got my staples out and I can walk on it now. I have to do therapy with my foster mom a couple of times a day so I will remember to use it because I keep forgetting to put it down when I walk. But it feels so much better! I love my fm and fd, but I sure would like to have my own mom and dad! If you are interested, please send us an email. Also, I am very tiny, so no homes with small children please. FM says I am just too delicate.
Initial Bio 07/25/14: Baby is a 2.85 lb. 4 year old Yorkie that is being fostered in Grapevine, TX. Her previous owner was critically ill and could no longer care for her, so her family asked UYR to find the perfect home for her. We fell in love with her on first sight, as she is very sweet and affectionate and loves to sit in your lap. She is an active little girl and loves toys and playing.
She was an only dog in her first home and is very dominant. She would probably do best in an only dog household or in a household with one other more laidback dog. She does not do well with small children. She has a little separation anxiety, so it would be nice if she could go to a family that either doesn’t work full time or perhaps works from home part of the time. She is partially potty trained. She goes outside when taken and uses potty pads. She has had a few accidents since we have had her, but is doing much better.
She is having her teeth cleaned on Monday, 7-28-14 and we are addressing an issue with one of her knees. If you think you would be a good fit for Baby, please drop us an email.
