Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Mickey and I am a 2 year old neutered male Japanese Chin. I came into rescue from a high kill shelter in Oklahoma. When I arrived in Colorado my foster mom immediately realized I had severe bilateral luxating patellas. I was almost crippled since my back knee joints would not stay in the socket. The rescue made arrangements to have this corrected and I had Orthopedic Surgery at the end of May. I am doing great and am on my way to making a full recovery. I am housetrained and know how to use a doggie door. I am very good on a leash and in the car. I get along very well with other dogs and love to play. I am very affectionate once I trust people, however will initially be a little growly when first meeting strangers. I do warm up very quickly and my foster mom is working on this behavior. As you can see I am an adorable little guy who will make a wonderful companion to someone who is willing to give me a chance.
