My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sara has a sad tale to tell, but we will make sure she has a happy ending! Sara escaped from her home, and ran 20 miles in one day, only to be captured by animal control. She was chipped, but her owners declined to come rescue her, choosing instead to abandon her. We were happy to be able to save her, as she is a great girl!

Sara is sweet, affectionate, loving, and enjoys other dogs and kids! She is good natured, and is doing very well in her obedience basics. Even though Sara is one of the nicest girls we've ever had, she does have two serious challenges that require a very experienced and dedicated home. Sara easily and fluidly jumps 6' fences, and does suffer from separation anxiety. She is making progress with the separation anxiety here, and is learning that she can be comfortable alone. But we are seeking a truly dedicated home that will keep her on a long line in their fenced backyard, and one that will never, ever leave her unattended in the backyard. Her ease of fence jumping is serious, and seeing as how she was found 20 miles away from her first home, we don't want to risk her ever getting loose again! Who has the dedication for this girl? Sara is so incredibly rewarding in every other way, and deserves a wonderful forever home that will cherish her and keep her safe!
