Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Biggie is a 5-7 year old Samoyed/GSD mix that was brought to a vet clinic as a stray. Initially a staff member was planning on adopting him should no one claim him, but they backed out. He was housed at the clinic for about a month, and in that time the staff grew attached to him. Upper management found out about him, and made them bring Biggie to a local shelter. When they checked in on Biggie, they found out he was slated for euthanasia, and one staff member picked him up to avoid being euthanized. She cannot keep him, but has asked us to help find him a proper home. He has been fine with other dogs and even ok with the clinics cat. He can be barky in his run, so would not be an ideal candidate for apartment living. He will need continued training with positive reinforcement to be the best dog he can be. He has done well with some kids, and is uncomfortable with others so we'll let him settle in foster care before making a final decision on his suitability with younger kids (teenage + should be fine).
On arrival the vet clinic did some bloodwork and discovered some changes with his kidney enzymes. This could be from getting into something he shouldnt have, or could be a more chronic issue. Repeat bloodwork has shown improvement already. That said he will need to be fed a low protein diet until his bloodwork normalizes.
