My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trinket is listed as special needs because she is so afraid of MEN!!! She really barks and barks, and it takes much more than a few treats to get her to trust a man. She is the sweetest dog and well behaved, gentle with known children (but will growl at a new child), loves other small dogs, scared of big dogs, and loves cats. She would do best with adult women, and children who are patient, obedient (follow the rules well), and older than 8. She currently lives with a 9 year old who is autistic and is amazing with that child, even tho the child is sometimes very loud and active and would scare most little dogs. however, we would not place her with such a child, or expect her to learn to trust another child as well as she does this one. She is very small, only 10 lbs, so she could be easily injured by a child who was just trying to be friends. She is on the tall side for her weight, and has very delicate, tiny little feet, that seem too small for her small body!
This is one really special, cute/scruffy dog. She really deserves a home that will spend a lot of time with her, set limits and boundaries and maybe even train her for some work, like agility or service dog. She is a great dog in the right hands. But she has her issues, being fear of men, and fear of new children.
