Patch is a happy dog that LOVES to play with balls and toys in the fenced in yard. He likes patrolling for those pesky little squirrels, too. He's not having any of them in "his" yard! Because he takes protecting his yard from squirrels so seriously we are requiring a yard with a physical fence to keep him safely contained.
He also likes going to the lake and frolicking in the water. He does rides very well in the car.
Patch is very house trained and also crate trained. He is being fostered with other dogs both big and small but sometimes does not get along with other male dogs. He also mostly ignores other dogs as he would rather play with his toys by himself in the yard than interact with them.
A home without children under 11 is best -- because of his passion for balls he may get too excited and knock a younger child down while playing.
In the house he is mellow and will cuddle in your lap if you let him.
Patch is guaranteed to give you hours of entertainment watching him play both summer and in the winter snow.
We are not sure how Patch would do with cats as he has not met any in his foster home and we have no history on him as he was an unclaimed stray in a shelter.
