Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
It has been awhile since we received rescued Poodles.
However, with the recently passed Minnesota Law, HF 84, we and many other rescue groups are encouraging Millers and BYB's to start registration of their facility in July of this year. The compliance for licensing and inspections involved in being a Dog or Cat Breeder in Minnesota starts in 2015.
Pictured right is "Pebbles", on the left side and next to her is her lifetime friend "Cola", after they arrived from northern Minnesota.
As pictured, you can see these two are very scared and unsure of what is going on. They cling to each other for support; a "bonded pair" and will need to be adopted together.
Pebbles and Cola have been together as a breeding pair, but have not produced puppies in over a year.
They have served their time and now come to us in need of a family where they can spend their final years together in a gentle and loving home.
Pebbles is an 8 year old, apricot Toy Poodle who is 9" tall and a chunky 9.5 pounds. You can she just loves her food as she is more of a sausage on legs. Lots of rain has given her curly hair, but she's still a cutie!
This delightful Toy Poodle has grown with love and attention. She has warmed up to us and her foster family while becoming more outgoing and sociable.
She has quickly put aside her past life and has become a soft, easy going, loving Toy Poodle just full of love! She will follow me all over the house, loves to be held and is now first to jump into my lap and cuddle.
Vet work for Pebbles went just fine. She was spayed, teeth cleaned up nicely, she is heart-worm, Lymes and Ehrlichia tested negative and then placed on a preventative. Her shots are up to date she was wormed and Home Again micro-chipped.
While Cola and Pebbles have enjoyed each others company for a long time, we have found that Cola is now enjoying his life without Pebbles in his kennel!
We have separated the two so they each have their own "home" kennel. Cola is no longer such a "grumpy old man" and Pebbles greatly enjoys not being growled at all the time.
Yes, Cola and Pebbles are doing just fine and are now available for adoption. Preference will be given to families willing to adopt the two together, but we would be willing separate the two.
Please no large dogs or small children. A fenced yard will be suggested as we work on leash training. Both will continue to need more work and socialization as they learn about living their life with good people!
Their adoption fee of $200.00 each or $350.00 as a pair includes all their Vet work, Kennels, blankets, toys, leash, collar/harness, new beds, bags of dog food, treats and lots of information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward.
We will also include a new DVD from Animal Planet entitled: "Training Your Adopted Dog" with lots of great information.
Because we are a foster based, home environment group, an “Application For Adoption” must be completed.
Please visit our web site or contact me if you have any specific questions or would like our "Application For Adoption".
