Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The Story of Annie
Once upon a time, there was a family who had 4 dogs. Two males and two females. The family refused to get any of these dogs fixed, so the female dogs kept breeding. The family never kept the puppies...they ended up in shelters by themselves.
One day, a complaint went out about this family. An officer was able to take one of the female dogs to the shelter with all 11 puppies from both female dogs. For awhile the Mom dog was safe with her puppies. But the lady who owned the dog demanded her dog back. Since there are no current laws that state you must get your dog spayed and/or neutered, the Mom dog had to go back with the family and leave her 11 puppies behind.
Heart breaking as it was for the Mom to be taken away, the 11 puppies were safe.
The shelter called several rescues to help and we were honored to be one of them.
Annie is a little rebel and an adventurer. She tests every boundary and is the first to do everything. Annie is food motivated and knows something good comes out of the fridge. When she chews on your hand... You better count your fingers.
Plays hard and loves to run. Always seems to want to get the last word in even after she is corrected. She has a lot of energy and is often left playing with her toys boisterously while the other two are sound asleep. She's just learning to walk on a leash because this is a new experience for her. So in love with being happy about life she can't think straight. But she is also the girl that sits at the gate waiting for you. Being a puppy she is just beginning to read other dogs AND sees things Annie's way.
Annie is an 8 week old Shepherd mix, 7 pounds, UTD on vaccinations and micro chipped.
