Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Tina is a tiny little Chihuahua, about 7 years old and barely 5 pounds. She was rescued from a home where she got little attention and as a result she is a bit shy at first. However she does warm up and wants to be your lap buddy. Tina is good with other small gentle dogs and would probably be fine with cats. She is house trained and also trained to puppy pads. Tina requires a calm adult home although she lived with kids in the past, but we think they were rough with her and scared her. She would enjoy a fenced yard but does go outside on a leash to potty. Tina would really enjoy living with a retired person so she could get in lots of snuggle time! She is very quiet and would be fine in a congregate housing situation. Tinay’s $350 adoption fee is to cover her full vetting including her spay, full dental, vaccines, heartworm test and preventive, flea/tick preventive, and she has a HomeAgain microchip.
• Homeowners: Townhome, house, apartment or condo okay
• Status of adopter: 30+
• Previous dog owning experience: Small dog experience preferred
• Age of children: Adults
• Another dog in the home: She would be fine with a small dog or she could be an only dog if her human was home much of the time
• Cat(s) in the home: Not cat tested but she probably wouldn’t bother them
• Fenced yard: Desired or always leashed—always. She would take off if not leashed.
• Time alone on work days: Someone who is home part of the time
