My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby is a 6YO Standardbred cross (DOB approximately spring 2008). She is 14.1H and about 875 lbs up from 582 lbs when she first arrived. She was part of a starvation case that included 27 horses. Abby has scarring on her hind end, from just under her tail to the left hip, an accident that occurred before she arrived at RRHR. It doesn't affect her movement or riding ability. She is easy to catch, leads up nicely, likes attention and grooming, stands well for the farrier, and trailer loads.
Many rides later, Abby has been ridden off the property and down the road. She is not spooky about bridges, cars passing, or the wind gusting around her. She's had a bit of time off lately while we've been assessing new arrivals, but the trainer says she always comes back right where they left off. Nice mare, nice ride! She needs that more intermediate human partner who can make gentle training corrections under saddle.
