My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elio is a young dog, still very much a puppy at just under 2 yrs old. He has lots of energy and loves to run, jump and play. He enjoys being outdoors, or just hanging out inside chewing on a marrow bone. Elio LOVES going for walks and rides, going to the store and obedience class, and interacting with new people. He's very friendly but a little too much dog for kids. Elio gets very excited easily and needs a calm person to keep him grounded

A quiet home with fairly active adults would be ideal for Elio. He is friendly with most other dogs his size, but no cats or other small animals. It would be awesome if his new home had a fenced yard where he could burn off some energy racing around in play. He needs one devoted human, or a couple, as devoted to Elio, as I believe he will be to them. His new guardian must be a fair leader, one who teaches rules, boundaries, limitations using positive methods only. (Elio does NOT respond well to aversive training methods.) .A trainer local to the Binghamton area has offered free training & support to a local adopter. His rescue offers full support to adopters.
