Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
King Kodiak (as he is endearingly called, can be described in 6 words: A Happy and Smiling Polar Bear! He is such a love,it baffles us to no end how he could ever be an owner surrender. He lived a life of neglect prior to our rescue from Downey Shelter.
His coat was mangled, dirty and matted and the poor fur boy weighed only 36 pounds on what should be a 60+ pound frame. Yet he was sweet as can be and it was easy to see, he did not hold his owners responsible for his character and awesome temperament.
He is currently being fostered with a Pack ranging from puppies to other seniors and is dog friendly, kid friendly and adult friendly. We have no cats, so I have not temp tested him for them.
The ideal family would be a retired couple able to shower him with the love he has been deprived of.
Kodiak is the type of dog that will curl up at your feet or lay beside you during the day. He is content with a short walk or just a romp in a large yard.
He is at his perfect weight and with good nutrition and loving hands on care, we see some good years still ahead for him. Truly as close to a perfect love dog as one can find.
