Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bryan Bickell of the Chicago Blackhawks and his wife Amanda are dedicated to helping Pit Bull type dogs find forever homes. As part of their Bick's Pit program, a Pit Bull is featured through the organization so they can one day find their forever home. Please see the dog's information below and be sure to check out Bick's other pits!
Hi, my name is Boston Meier. I think I'm one of the luckiest dogs around. You see, not so long ago I was scared and alone outside a Meier store in Bloomingdale (hence my middle name). When a volunteer from Almost Home Foundation found me wandering around, they took me to the AHF kennel where people greeted me with big smiles, belly rubs, and lots of treats. I was quite skinny when AHF rescued me and had a few scratches and scrapes from being outside on my own. My new human friends took great care of me and I quickly gained a few pounds. My coat and body look pretty great now that my scrapes are healed, if I do say so myself!
I am told I have a sweet disposition and I do love people. I also love to eat and I am very strong. I have good manners with food and I am very motivated by food and treats. I am always willing to work for my treats and would love to learn more commands. I am really quite smart! I keep my kennel clean so I am sure I am housebroken. I love my daily walks and playtime in the yard. I like to stay outside for a long time, but every once in a while I'll take a break and lay on my back for a belly rub. As much as I love my human friends at the kennel, I really would love to have my own foster or forever home. I need to be the only animal though - no dogs or cats please. I would do best with an experienced owner or foster and older children.
Please come and see me at an adoption show any Saturday. You can also contact the AHF volunteer using the contact information listed above to schedule a visit during the week and to learn more about me. Come on, you know you want to meet me! Go ahead, make the call.
