Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bryan Bickell of the Chicago Blackhawks and his wife Amanda are dedicated to helping Pit Bull type dogs find forever homes. As part of their Bick's Pit program, a Pit Bull is featured through the organization so they can one day find their forever home. Please see the dog's information below and be sure to check out Bick's other pits!
Meet sweet, lovable, and adoptable Kianna: Bick’s Pit for July!
Kianna was found as a stray late last month in the northwest suburbs and ended up at a local pound, but luckily was rescued by Almost Home Foundation.
She is 7 years old and was used for breeding, having had several litters of puppies throughout her life. Her last litter required her to have a C-section leaving her with a scar. Her ears were cropped by her previous owners, and she was malnourished.
Thanks to the kind hearts at Almost Home Foundation who stepped up and saved her life, Kianna now has a second chance! We are all left speechless on how a dog can be so neglected and bred, yet be so resilient and have such a positive outlook on life!
Kianna is a sweet, low-key kind of gal who loves to go for walks and snuggle. She is very gentle in every way possible, even when it comes to taking treats! Despite not having had the best life, she is loving and patient.
She’s short, stocky, and weighs in at about 45 – 50 pounds, though she could put on some more weight.
Here’s a bonus: she gets along great with other dogs and loves people despite how her previous owners treated her. She’d be great in a home with kids of all ages, babies, cats, dogs– you name it!
The best bonus of all: Kianna is house-broken!
