Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTED
Jo, a 21 pound male Brussels Griffon, who is 3 1/2 years old. Jo came into rescue a little over a month ago. His previous owners were seniors, and due to their own health issues felt that they needed to place him with NBGR. Jo was very loved and well taken care of. Jo is best described as a BIG sweet teddy bear. He is so loving and doesn't know a stranger. He is very smart, house trained, and will also sit on command.
A few weeks ago Jo went on a visit to an antique mall. He had to ride in a wagon while in the mall. After jumping out of the wagon 3 times, Jo learned quickly he was supposed to stay in the wagon. He rode all over the antique mall like he had done that many times before. Customers at the mall were drawn to him, and they were so impressed with his perfect manners.
Jo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. He is also crate trained, but it's not one of his favorite things. He doesn't mind being in a crate when going in the car though. He is an excellent passenger in a car and can be taken anywhere. He is very well behaved.
Jo is in a home with 4 other Griffs and gets along fine with them, but his previous owner said he didn't care for cats. He loves to take daily walks and he heels well. As perfect as Jo sounds, he will need to have a special person who works from home, is retired, or is home frequently. Due to anxiety Jo has to be crated when gone, but not for long periods of time.
Jo is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at gingersnap@frontier.com.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
