Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SOON*
Lexi’s Mum and her siblings were saved by some kind volunteers from the Pakuashipi reservation in Northern Quebec prior to the scheduled dog culling. Lexi’s mum is a small 40lbs +/- husky however her father is unknown.
Baby Lexi came into rescue at 8 weeks old on May 15th 2014 just as cute as a button, we estimate her birthday as March 20th! On June 13th she weighed a whopping 12lbs!! Lexi is not house trained at this time as she is still just a baby however she is slowly figuring it all out. She will go on her peepad and when she is outside she will do her business outside but she is shy about it so she often goes when she believes no one is looking…. Quite the little private lady!
Lexi has a healthy appetite and we imagine she will not be overly large knowing the size of her mother. She is just sooo smart. At this age she is everyone friendly as we lay the ground work for a well socialized, happy canine citizen for future adoption.
Lexi is still a baby so we are limiting her interaction with people and animals outside of her foster home at this time to get her immune system slowly built up. Lexi has had her first two rounds of vaccinations and deworming and will visit our vet for last boosters & general health check up on July 11th
Lexi is a young and playful pup learning all the joys of playing with doggies and chasing kitties. In foster home she lives with both and is a happy girl. True to husky form she is vocal and will talk to you when she is upset with you so no apartment life for her because of this. The husky in her wants to run and roam so adoptive family must have a securely fenced in back yard because she has had her moments of being a Houdini in foster care. Just like a child one second is all it takes and Lexi can be gone missing
Because she is so young adoption fee & sterilization deposit fee will be required – we are doing this to protect Lexi & her future - it is not negotiable. Adoption fee will include her spay & micro chip along with the vaccinations and deworming required at our Vet Animal 911 in Roxboro once she is fixed we will promptly return sterilization deposit fee. If you have puppy training knowledge and would like to meet Lexi please email us at caarescue@gmail.com
