My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: 10-16-08: Hey I have a new friend! Foster mom let some people stay here when she left me for a few days, and they brought children! These were wonderful toys! Do you have a couple that I could come play with? Foster mom said I need big kids, I kept knocking over the little one. See I like to run and jump, that little one just wasn't very sturdy! Do you have a big one I could play with? Could I? Could I please????

UPDATE: 09-05-08: It's me again...can you please take me home???? Lucy is no fun anymore, she just wants to hunt gophers and there is no one here for me to play with! I promise to love and lick you...okay? Love,Bella

UPDATE: 07-26-08: Hi it's me Bella! My foster mom is working on some more training for me and then I'll be ready to go to my Forever Home!

Watch the site for updates.

Update 05/19/08:

DOB - 3/27/07

SEX – Female, silly

WEIGHT – 9.6#

TURN-ONS – Toys, dogs my size to play with, older children, stay at home moms and dads, small beds so I can sleep on your legs, large yards, attention of any kind, car rides

TURN-OFFS – Being told no, strangers, Doctors, old dogs (they are grouchy!), cats and birds (actually I like to eat birds).

Bella came to us as an undisciplined overbearing yorkie puppy with every bad trait a yorkie could have. She was demanding, stubborn, jealous, overbearing and a chewer. She now understands her place in our pack and has been redirected to chew toys, not shoes (or clothes or anything that conveniently fit into her mouth). She is still jealous and wants to always be the center of attention. She will benefit from more interaction with strangers and will bond quickly with her new human. She plays well with another foster that is her age but torments the older dogs endlessly. She is a lover who only desires to be the center of your universe. If you have room in your heart and home for this playful lover, please complete an application.

Original Bio 02/29/08: This is Bella's foster mom - Bella was surrendered by an older lady who lived by herself and could not handle Bella anymore. The shelter says she snapped at the vet when he was trying to examine her. Since we have only had her for two days, it is too early to tell whether this is a true behavior problem with her or whether it was because she was afraid. Bella has not been socialized. Although she is housetrained, she does not like new places or people nor does she like to be handled. She does like to ride in the car and sit on your lap once she gets to know you. She loves her foster brothers and sisters and gets along well with all of them. We took her to the vet the morning after we picked her up and although she did not snap at anyone, she growled when the vet or tech touched her. They kept her for an immediate spay and she just came home this morning. We will post more information when we know more about her and we will update her picture when we get her cleaned up. Her adoption donation will be $600.
