Meet Loudon McFarley. This sweet 6 month old chihuahua/Shih Tzu Boy is about 6 lbs. He was surrendered to the shelter with his sister by his elderly owner after she could no longer care for them. His sister was adopted quickly from the shelter but Loudon was scared and didn't do well in the shelter setting.
In came Recycled Best Friends and a great foster mom and Loudon is well in the way to being a happy go lucky dog. He will still need time and patience to fully blossom as he received little or no socialization the first 5 months of his life. He would do best with another small friendly dog and older or no children. Small kids would be too active and scary. Fenced yard preferred, small dog checked.
Update from his foster: "Loudon is very active. He loves to play and run and explore outdoors. He gets along great with the other dogs and even the cat. He loves to chew on things and is constantly carrying tree twigs in the house or pulling shoes out of my closet to chew on. He sleeps real well on the pillow right next to me all night. He has a great appetite. He has learned to wait his turn to for treats. He does still have occasional accidents. He will still back up some shyly when you go to pick him up, but loves to be loved on……"
Loudon is fostered in TENNESSEE but can move north with an approved application. His fee includes all vet care to age: neuter, retained puppy teeth removal, microchip, rabies, shots, worm meds, heartworm test, current flea and current Heartworm med. Please email
