Comments: Zahra is a special girl looking for a special person. Zahra came from a hoarding situation. You’ve probably seen them on tv- people with way too many animals and too little time and resources to care for them properly. Most dogs in hoarder homes aren’t physically abused, but they are neglected, receiving little to no individual attention, affection, or touch. This is what life was like for Zahra. As a result, Zahra is wonderful with other small dogs, but she is very fearful of people. She is just now learning that people wanting to interact with her is a good thing, and she will need a very calm, patient, persistent person to help her continue to learn that lesson. Zahra thrives on routine, and once she has established it is very easy to live with. She loves mealtime, goes in and out of the house with the other small dogs in her home, and goes in her pen. Zahra will need another small, friendly dog in her forever home to help show her the ropes and give her a good example of being a treasured family member. She likes to play zoomies with her foster buddies and race around the house or yard for a short burst, then she’s done playing and will cuddle up to one of her buddies in bed.
