Name: Pip
Breed: Rat Terrier / Chihuahua
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: Approx. 3 yrs 1 mos in Nov ’14
Weight: Approx. 8 lbs
Energy Level: High (likes to cuddle, but LOVES to play!)
Apartment Appropriate: No
Good w/ Dogs: Loves small dogs, no large dogs, medium dogs unknown
Good w/Cats: Unknown, but would probably try to play
Good w/ Kids: Would probably be fine with calm, respectful kids age 8 and over
Comments: If you looked in the dictionary under ‘lovebug’, Pip’s picture would be there, smiling out at you! Pip is a wonderful, energetic young dog who has endless potential. He’s incredibly smart and agile, and would really excel at agility, if his family was interested in that. He goes right over gates and pens, so those little jumps will be a breeze! Pip is what we call a Velcro dog- he’s stuck to you at all times. He loves to be cuddled and loved on and right where you are. When his people aren’t available, he’s roughhousing with his foster siblings or sharing a bed with them. If you have another small, active dog at home, Pip will help keep them busy! He’s afraid of large dogs, so he requests that his friends stay on the smaller side. To know Pip is to love him. No one can resist his charm! His new family will need to be careful about strangers trying to pick Pip up and hold him, though, as he has a tendency to eject himself right out of a person’s arms if he feels uncomfortable with them. If you make him a part of your family, he’ll be the dog of your life. If Pip sounds like the boy for you, please fill out an application at http://www.littledogsbigheartsrescue.com/adoption-application/ today!
