My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

BEAUTIFUL & SMART!

Ellie was born 3/6/2014.  She is a beautiful white kitty with gorgeous amber-colored eyes.

She is special needs and has 'FHS' or Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome.  Her disorder requires a very low home stress environment, and she is totally attached and bonded to her brother (Eli) and we will not separate the two as this would cause her additional anxiety.

Ellie is extremely curious, playful, and extremely smart!  It is her way only!.  Unfortunately, you must have a lot of patience with her as she can be very destructive.  You cannot correct her, you can only try and convince her that whatever she is doing is not a good idea.  If you try and correct her, you will only make her skittish and leary of you which is totally unproductive.

Ellie insists on sleeping with you every single night.  Ellie and her brother Eli are extremely sweet and love the other kitties.  Both are very COMICAL!!!  If you are truly a 'cat person' you will thoroughly enjoy these two!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Fees start at $100.00 and depend on the pet. Some have had extensive surgeries and rehabilitation. We have an application/Contract process. We do an In Home visit, especially with hard to place pets. We will need a vet and 2 other references. We can arrange a private appointment with the foster if desired.

Go meet their pets

Paws does the majority of adoptions through Applications submitted on our Website at www.pawsrescue.org .
We have an application process which is designed to find the best home for a particular pet. Paws assists with humane education and low cost spay and neuter information. We do not have a shelter. All our adoptable pets are placed in individual foster homes until adopted sometimes taking months. None of our adoptable pets are euthanized to make space.

More about this rescue

Paws Animal Rescue, Inc. is an ALL VOLUNTEER Non Profit, 501-C-3 Organization that began in May 1999 in Alvin, Texas. All funds received (donations and adoption fees) are used directly to the benefit of the animals. There are NO paid employees at Paws Animal Rescue. Paws is a TARPA (Texas Acceptance and Release Program) Certified Organization. Please remember “UNTIL THERE ARE NONE, ADOPT ONE”.

Paws saw the need to rescue adoptable cats and dogs at animal control facilities where the holding days can be as little as 3 to 5 days. Paws never adopts a pet until it has been completely vetted and most importantly spayed and neutered. We network with all shelters with lists of available cats and dogs. If we do not have what they are looking for we find someone who does.
