Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All HSWA dogs are in foster homes and need an appointment to be seen. Please call 205-554-0011 or email humaneswa@yahoo.com to request an appointment to see the dog/puppy and to check availability. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or asking questions first.
Warning: Lap Dog in Need of Lap!
This sassy little girl is Jolie, a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix. Jolie normally has a pretty, long and shaggy coat, but it was in sad shape. Jolie's body needed to be shaved all the way down. She will need regular grooming to keep her coat short or grooming to keep a long coat from getting matted again. Jolie is a small dog, weighing only 13.2 pounds. She was pulled from our local city shelter, where she had been picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim her. We just can't believe that!
Jolie is absolutely adorable! She is very friendly, sweet and loves attention. She loves to be with you, but she does have some energy and will need daily walks if kept in an apartment. She has some Terrier in her, so she cannot be left outside unattended unless in a fenced yard. She does need to be an inside dog. Jolie is good with other dogs and should be fine with children ages 8 and up, not very young kids due to her small size. We have started her on crate training. Jolie is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. This little lady is ready for a comfortable lap to call her own!
Our adoption fee is $75. Read more information on our adoption process. Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt a dog, submit an adoption application or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com for more info.
