Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Have you always wanted a Daschund? Mixed with a pile of cuteness overload? Well then.....here is your chance to have both in one!
Say hello to Hakus the Doxy. Hakus is a doxy mix who is 1 year old and is looking for his forever home. At a healthy 10 pounds he is the perfect size for someone who is looking for a smaller sized dog.
Though low(er) to the ground than your average dog, Hakus does not let his smaller size stop him. He loves to play and can keep up with the other "big guys", even though it is 2 steps to their one.
A typical day for Hakus includes play time with his foster canine sibling, a walk or two, and quality snuggles sessions with his foster mama. Hakus loves both cats and dogs. Shy at first he is quick to warm up to females and older (8+) children; although, Hakus can sometimes be slightly leery of men at first. He is never the less, friendly to all once he has an opportunity to assess the situation. So, slow moving is very important on first meeting. Hakus would love a home that can offer him the affection and stability that he deserves.
Hakus is house-trained, working diligently on his leash training ( he is used to walking in a pack), and his learning basic commands (Sit is obviously the easiest for him because he is so low to the ground ;-)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families. Mature and responsible applicants only please!
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for re-homing. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
