Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet black pitt mix was found abandoned on Jefferson street in Warren with another pitt mix. They had no food or water. Both are very skinny and starved. Both were wearing chain collars. This pound may euthanize this dog soon if she/he's not adopted or rescued. If you want this dog, please go to the pound (7401 Anderson Ave. in Warren) ASAP or email us quickly! Local Volunteers can pick up your new dog for you if you are unable to do so. Pound fees are $36 which includes a license. Basic veterinarian fees are $44 and include 5-1 shot, rabies shot, deworming, exam, mandatory fecal test and health certificate.
We can also board/hold your new dog up to 10 days for free if we have space open or $7 per day at the vets. A spay neuter pkg is available for an additional $65 and includes a Heartworm test.
Some transport help available. Email Friends of Trumbull Co Dog Pound Volunteers ******petpaws4u@aol.com***** to coordinate us saving the dog for you.
All funds can be sent via paypal to us before we pick up your new dog. All rescue groups and private adopters will need to be approved. Contact for more info IMMEDIATELY. Questions, email us ****petpaws4u@aol.com****
ACT QUICKLY, l087 dogs came in here in 2006 and only 145 were rescued or adopted. 945 EUTH, please adopt one of these dogs and give them a new chance and 2nd home. Most of these dogs were someone's pet that got lost and their owners didn't find them. The Pound only has to keep them for 3 days be for gassing them.
About Our Rescue Group... We are a group of volunteers trying to help homeless pets find new approved safe homes to live happily ever after in for theTrumbull County Dog Pound; OHIO. THIS dog pound has a 93% EUTH, rate for 5 years, by horrific gassing! We help out of town approved rescue groups obtain dogs from the Trumbull Co Dog Pound who are available for adoption. We do adopt to individual too after all the veting is done and the fee is adjusted to reflect the vetting included. Local Volunteers will pick up the dogs spoken for by an approved rescue or approved individual. Local Volunteers will hold the dog temporarily for vetting and transport (7=14 days maximum). All private adoptions to individuals must go thru the a process of being approved for adoption. We adopt to individuals after vetting, and home visits, reference checks. Plus any vetting the receiving rescue has paid for and requested done immediately. All rescues needing approval to adopt from our group, will need to fill out an application and references will be checked. DONATIONS: please sponsor a dog, pay for vetting of a dog, or just plain help us keep our supplies up to date for taking care of these dogs before they go to rescues. This dog pound is not people friendly nor rescue friendly. So we go in as adoptors and adopt the dogs from here to save their lives for those from out of town.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties... All the dogs posted, are mostly someones pets that got lost, pick up as a stray and had no identification on them. So they are held 3 days and then Euthanized because of space needed. We have found most of this dogs are house trained, loving pets needing a new home and a 2nd chance with those that will keep them identified and cared for. Please consider adopting on ofour dogs. Last Year this Dog pound took in 1087 dogs and only adopted out 145, so 942 dogs were Euthanized.
